Installed these sumo springs on front and rear axles of my 05 excursion 4x4 with 6.0 powerstroke. Front axle set provides the most dramatic improvement. Major reduction in front sway, body roll and they definitely improved/stiffened the ride for the better. with a +1” lift in front now , truck rides much more level and has better distributed weight feeling while steering and braking. Same improvements while towing. Easy install. Great buy for all excursion owners.

Installed these to my 2001 stock 7.3 Excursion. I'm running stock springs with over 200k miles. These raised my front end 1 inch and stiffened up the ride. It also helped with body roll and highway wandering. Literally drives like new. This is a good fix if you are unable to afford new springs. I would use these with new spring regardless. I also purchased some for the rear but I'm not sure those will make much difference when driving normally without a load since they don't quite reach the axle without weight on the vehicle. I'm sure they will be great when I pull my 33 foot camp trailer though.

Originally received the rear when I was wanting the front, but they had it overnighted and here in a day! Super appreciative of the turn around. Was able to install myself(YouTube trained DIY’r), with some common tools, jack and jack stand. Would have taken less than an hour if not for the rust, taking the old ones off was the hardest part. Could not be happier with the result! Money well spent. The ride is so much smoother, quieter and less bouncy. Also brought it about an inch up from before. Great product guys! Definitely recommend

made the truck bouncy and kept it from bottoming out. ended up taking them off and putting heavier springs on

I am very pleased with the performance of these Sumo Springs after installing them on the front and rear of my 2002 Ford Excursion. Time will tell if they hold up because I plan to drive it to the end, no more EPA garbage vehicles for me.

Love these. The directions are terrible. The springs come off the top mont part. If the directions were clear on this and a couple more pictures install would have been much easier.*These only last about four or five years. Then they start to come apart. I did replace my leafs but they aren’t enough so I am just going to add a leaf.

The struggle is real for 7.3L Excursion owners. These springs made a huge difference. I installed them on the front. My truck handles ten times better. I gained about 3/4'' of lift as well. FYI they stay slightly compressed on the Ex front end once installed. The company designed them that way. If you have upgraded leafs (X code) or whatever I would still add these. They will reduce wear on all suspension parts. No brainer, lifetime warranty. As far as install burn the instructions to keep you warm. They're useless. The top bolts mount in the largest frame hole (not the hole in the middle of the old mounts as the instructions stated). Using the large hole ensures the spring lines up perfectly with the leaf spring plate. Get yourself a large washer to set on top of the large hole. It will keep the supplied nut from falling through the hole. The rounded edge of the bracket go towards the tires. The supplied bolt is stupid. It's allen head, it will strip easily, be careful. I left my wheels on for install, made for tight quarters but doable. Overall great design, truck rides way different.

First, how do you know you need this kit? Look at your front springs. Do they sit flat or even curve upward? If so, your springs need help. Install is very straightforward. Definitely install new shock alongside this kit to get the correct feel. I have owned two trucks with air ride and I cannot feel a difference between those and the X with this kit installed. Is it bouncy? As bouncy as any air ride suspension. Definitely worth the money and a ton less hassle than installing full air ride.
