I got this for my grandson, a beginner trumpet player in Junior High School, for Christmas. He loved it! It sounds exactly like his full size, very expensive trumpet...loud, lol. Seriously, a professional instrument, great sound, nice soft sided case for storage and transport, the same mouthpiece as a full size trumpet. I did buy a mute for his parents!

I have to say, I was impressed by this trumpet. I have bought a few things from Stagg and generally they have been solid at first, but not exactly durable so we shall see how it stands up over time, but thus far this trumpet has exceeded expectations.I wanted a decent portable practice trumpet that I didn't have to worry too much about and that insurance would easily cover should anything go wrong and so went with a company I had experience with and to take the gamble of buying it without a chance to play it. I have managed to find an excellent tone and warmth that I wasn't expecting, and the playability after oiling was pretty good. Now it has settled in it is extremely playable and the tuning is good enough that minor mouth adjustments are all that is needed.If you are after a good practical practice trumpet, this is as good a choice as any!
