These gazing spheres are lightweight and made to look like stainless steel. I think the product description should've used the term metallic reflection instead of stainless steel because it's a bit misleading where they aren't metal at all. I wouldn't recommend these unless you want something that looks metallic but is lightweight enough to float on water.

I was expecting this to be a solid piece of metal but it is not. I suppose I should have read the description better that says hollow.It is certainly shiny and the one I got was about 3" in diameter as advertised. Considering it is hollow, I'm not sure I would put it outside lest the wind blow it away.
