I have been planning to get an ice pick for a long time because I keep a big bag of ice in the freezer for drinks etc. and it always seems to clump together. This is a very sturdy ice pick. I really like that it has a secure, screw on cover for safety. Also the outside handle area is textured making it safe so as not to slip out of your hands. I think appearance wise it looks very nice, and could even be placed out next to an ice bucket at a gathering. Great value for the money spent. It’s a solid metal that seems like it will last a long time with normal use. It’s also very easy to remove the cover to use. I think it would make a nice housewarming gift (something you don’t usually think of) along with an ice bucket and cocktail glasses.

I love this ice pick! It has a screw on top for safety when storing that is important for safety but also to keep the point of the pick nice and sharp if one stores things in vertical storage container. I like the “grip†of this design, too, especially if one might have damp hands when working in a kitchen area. Just an all round great pick!

Absolutely love the sturdiness and appearance around the ice pick. It makes it easy to hold while twisting off the top. The handle is a perfect size for most hands and lastly you can’t beat the price especially when you can catch it in a sale.

It is as advertised, an ice pick with a cover for safety in the drawer. It has a sharp end that has broken up ice well and is thick enough that I am not worried about it breaking or bending. The color has lasted for several months of use so far without fading or chipping. I clean it in the dishwasher without problems. At $13.99, it is a good, solid purchase. I would recommend to others.

I have no idea how this functions as an ice pick. I'm an avid fisher and when I'm keeping a fish to eat, I want to dispatch it as quickly and humanely as possible so I use the Ikejime method. This sheathed design means I can keep it in my tackle without injuring myself or messing up my gear. The stainless steel means that it doesn't get rusty. This is one of the best additions to my tackle this year.

I was looking for a firm ice pick which would not bend or break easily. This ice pick meets all my expectations. Deals with frozen ice bags very efficiently.
