This is my 1st time using a Moka pot. With experimenting I think I am getting out a good sipping coffee that is close to espresso. The grind of coffee and the brand does affect the taste. So far I have liked Gevalia, Espresso roast, pre ground. It also tastes better drinking out of a small espresso mug. Pre heating the water in the microwave, in another container, just to boiling point has helped with the process. So, I have the 4 cup Moka pot. What does that mean? …. It makes 6 fl oz of coffee. It takes 8oz of water to fill the pot up to the pressure valve. Once the process begins it will produce, percolates 6 oz of coffee, then the percolating stops. I have about 1.5 oz left of water and .5 oz absorbed by the grounds. So far I have not tried squeezing that last little bit out by leaving it on the burner. I have been afraid of burning what is left. Overall it does work however do not know if a different brand would do anything better.Bonus tip…. Use a small paper filter, that you pre wet, like the aero press filters to make clean up easier.

I was excited to use this product and have my Italian coffee again but sadly even though it markets as able to use on induction stovetops it does not work on my stove. So it’s false advertising and I will be returning for a refund. 1 star.

This is a very nice moka pot and will extract the best flavor for your "stovetop espresso". (NOT an espresso!) Expertly designed and crafted. 6 cup is perfect for me for the day. Just right size - I loves me some moka lattes (NOT a latte!).In case you're wondering... there is a texture inside... This is NOT a lining of any sort. This is actually simply that the stainless steel was roughened up on the inside using a rough sandblasting technique. This helps with thedurability of the product and is a good thing. Don't worry... no chemicals here!I hope you liked my review. I always try really hard to write reviews are are candid, honest, and helpful for your shopping decisions. No AI here... all the poor writing is mine and mine alone! :-P

Hello everyone,More than ever now, coffee lovers have lots of options to brew the perfect cup: k cups, fancy machines, French press, coffee makers etc, but for some family members nothing beats the Moka pot espresso maker. Although this 6 cup one has a more modern flare to it, it preserves the same qualities of more traditional ones which arguably and according to my family "make the coffee taste better ". From beginning to end, it takes about 15 minutes to brew a pot, but please be careful, the handle which I find a bit short, does get quite hot. The top is a bit sharp as you try open it and the lid is tricky to lift. We’ve been using it for about two weeks and unlike a previous one, the coffee doesn’t spill from the middle or top. There are some long term concerns as it’s lightweight and it may start to get stained, but we liked it so much we already ordered a bigger one. Hope this can help someone. Thank you !

I have a flattop electric stove and this worked like a charm. I have been using a French press for years and felt like it was time to switch up my coffee routine. I washed the pot and filled the bottom with water. According to the directions you should use a medium grind and honestly probably did a little fine a grind, but it still worked perfectly. The asked has a small enough weave that there the grounds didn’t filter into the coffee which I know can happen. The bottom of the pot is not lightweight but I still used a medium heat to boil the water and it only took about eight minutes for the coffee to brew. The handle got a little warm from being on the burner, but it was still able to be held and I poured out really lovely dark coffee. I added some steamed milk and cinnamon and feel like I had an awfully close duplicate of my favorite coffee house. I’m very pleased with this delightful and useful espresso pot.

The metal is very thin and the water reservoir has some sort of lining in the inside which I don’t know what health risk it can have eventually.
