Product is fine, but it was small, Not sure why the size difference, it fit in the channel but we could still see the fire. Ordered a bigger size to try.

I read on a forum a while back to use fireplace rope around the baffle in my exhaust on my motorcycle to reduce the decibels and give it a deeper tone.It worked! My Yamaha stryker was reading 96dB at idle and after wrapping this rope around the baffle it (although it doesn't seem like much) it was reading 92dB.The sound went from more of a higher pitch tin can to a deep rumble that rattles your chest when you rev it up.The bike is still very loud and more than I originally wanted it to be but after wrapping it I love the sound so much that the loudness of it is amazing and I couldn't even think about going quieter.

Just installed this on the firebox of my wood cookstove and it fits, with a little bit left over.Seems like factory.As an FYI, being a limp noodle-like product, attaching it on the vertical stove face did cause me a bit of issue as the cord fell out of the groove before I could stuff it all in… and I must’ve got the glue-side-out when I reapplied it. Now that stretch is hard, not fluffy and poofy like they’re supposed to be, but it seems to be working fine even at that . (This is NOT A PRODUCT DEFICIENCY. Just something to watch for when you install your own.) Perhaps next time I’ll stick a piece of tape over the top corner or something.I’ve already ordered another to keep on hand, as the factory seal only lasted about a year.I used Imperial Gasket Adhesive for the glue.**edit* LaNordica Stove Owners*Maybe because of my glue mistake, but I don’t know that this is the right size for the Rosa XXL. It still seems to be over-draughting. I’ve ordered a 3/8 rope to try.But the product itself is fine.
