Worked as described but wasn't my issue. If you own a Jeep Wrangler and you have a starting issue as if your starter isn't engaging. While your shifter is in park put pressure on the shifter forward and simultaneously turn the key. If it starts your shifter linkage just needs adjusting. I replaced my starter and neutral safety switch on the recommendation of my mechanic. Only to find out a five minute adjustment would have fixed my problem at no cost.

Unless your a transmission mechanic don’t even try to replace this yourself. The transmission is touchy at best. I am now rebuilding my transmission. The transmission takes 9.5 quarts don’t listen to parts store. Project is messy. Takes a couple of hours to get it apart. The accumulator seals may also need to be replaced. There is a specific process for removing the valve module. I needed backup lights to pass inspection and I am getting a rebuilt transmission for backup lights. Download the 42rle manual before even attempting
