I had replaced the starter solenoid last year, but this time, I could hear the starter motor spinning but not engaging. So, I took it off and rebuilt it. Mostly just sanded and cleaned it. The Bendix, or starter drive, was apart and ball bearings were loose. This fixed it and it starts great now.
