Did not work. I have several classic cars and I did not install right away when I did it was inoperable. Was too late to send back didn't want to chance ordering another one. Went to the parts store got another one and worked fine

Could not get it to regulate under 15.5 volts. Most of the time I was running at 16-16.5 volts so I was overcharging the battery. Yes, I had a good ground to the chassis. Waited too long and couldn’t return it. Ended up running the old one till I bought an electronic one on eBay
