This is a really great solid brass hammer. I waited way too long to get one at work and relied mostly on brass punches. This is so much nicer to tap out shafts when I need to without bending and mushrooming things!

I am a mechanic and use this hammer to drive axles out of hubs. Also shafts out of transmissions. It works great without mushrooming the end of the shaft. The hammer has held up good it is brass and it works as a brass hammer should. better the hammer give a little than the shaft be mest up. Thank you for the hammer

I wanted to like it, the weight and feel are good as well as the price. Unfortunately it immediately flakes off pieces of brass. Most brass hammers I use will dent in quiet a bit before they get too worn out and start flaking but this hammer did that from hit one.
