Narrow shaft is wonderful for anyone just learning twirling. I bought this for my 3 year old granddaughter. She's in dance classes and this is extra fun. Loves to watch the older girls dancing/ twirling in parades.Great quality - not cheaply made - perfect balance. This will last.

Bought this as the 2nd baton for my grand girl and wanted a heavier one than the first one I got for her. It is nicely weighted, not like a toy, but as what I recall using as a girl with weight making it much easier to twirl. My grand child thought it much better than the light weight 1st baton, so is twirling away and able to do much more than before. Good quality for the price and very happy with the purchase.
