I couldn't find this starter brush assembly, anywhere in my city! Some business's advertised universal brush repair kits but once I saw them in person. It looked like I would have to do a lot of rigging to make the kit work so so. Kinda sketchy! And the price was almost as much as.a starter advertised on Amazon. I couldn't believe it once I found your brush assembly. It came so quickly and fit like a glove. Saved me lots of money, time and frustration. I can rest assured it will start every time. My starter is like new now..I saved so much money I was able to refurbish my starter. I'm going to start videotaping my repairs from now on so everyone can see how a difficult situation can become a blessing when you have quality parts that are exactly what is needed! Makes life so much easier.

I used this to rebuild the starter for my 2005 Honda CR-V. It is best to use all of the parts in the kit. I found that the copper washer is thicker than the OEM and the plunger rod is a tad bit shorter than the OEM. However, if you use all of the parts with this kit, it works properly. If you try to use your original OEM washer then it will not make a correct electrical contact due to the differences in thickness.Overall, this is a great cost saving way to rebuild your original OEM Fitsuba starter.Just use Moly grease on the gears. There are plenty of youtube videos on how to rebuild your starter.

If your able to replace the starter then you should be able to easily rebuild it.Seemed like quality materials used for this part. Really when you buy a starter from auto parts stores your more than likely getting a rebuilt part. This is all you need to rebuild it.

If you've got some mechanical skill, this is the rebuild kit that will repair your dead Mitsuba starter. There are vids on YT to show you the steps.Clean all the debris out of the starter.Use a quality grease on the gears and the spiral grooves for the bendix gear.Sand down the area where the brushes ride, until it's shiny copper, and clean the groove between each of the copper contact pads.Re-assemble with the new brush kit.
