If you find it difficult to start, you can try the following methods:
- The starter gear ends up a little close to the starter ring on the motor. So you can shimm the two bolts out away from the block.
- Starter need to be shimmed under the mounting bracket for correct gear alignment.

Originally had issues with it only working intermittently - turns out one bolt had worked loose and it wasn't able to engage the flywheel correctly. Since fixing that it's been great, buy with confidence.

Starter lasted 2 months with minimal use. But, great news, it's covered by a 1 year warranty. Just have to call them. Well, guess what? They don't give you a number to call. We did message them from their Facebook site, but, as expected, we're still waiting to hear back. Save your money and avoid this seller.

This was very easy to replace on my cub cadet only because of a YouTube video showing the use of a torx 40 long bit to loosen the right bolt. It’s a very tight fit (at least on my mower). Starter works great!

good price, good starter drive. Bad fit. I had to put the new starter drive on the old motor to get it to start the engine. The new starter locked the engine.
