It's a birthday gift that I carefully selected,Bought this for my husband, who enjoys a nice cup of tea and is pretty difficult to buy for. He loves this cup and uses it every day. It’s solid, heavier than I expected, and has a substantial handle that feels good in your hand. The tea brews in the cup, but the filter is removable so you can use it for other warm beverages too. Husband loves it and I’m so happy I bought this!The strainer at the bottom of the infuser has pretty fine holes so only the tiniest of tea dust passes through. I was expecting the ceramic to be thinner, but it feels pretty solid — as much as your average mug.All in all, I’m super happy with it. It’s a very handsome looking and well thought out loose leaf tea lover’s mug. It comes boxed with custom shaped padding around it if you want to give it as a gift.

Beautiful mug! Keeps tea warm a surprisingly long time. Very comfortable to hold.

I love the shape and size, and particularly the the handles on these mugs. my only issue is they do not keep the beverage hot very long and I love to savor my tea or coffee.

I have a glass pot that I make tea in normally, but sometimes it is overkill for only a cup or two for myself. This mug is the perfect size for keeping tea warm at your desk without running back to the kitchen for a second cup.The infuser can be placed on the overturned lid if you steep at your desk, or you can do what I do, time the steep so that you can do a quick task in the kitchen and remove the infuser and put the lid on the mug to keep the tea warm between sips.

I got this mug to try some loose leaf tea and to distinguish myself from my roommates. Works like a charm for non grinded tea leaves. Also a plus to use it with regular teabags. Got so many compliments on designs!

The tea cup is securely packaged in styrofoam with additional padding between the filter and the cup/lid. It should survive even the roughest shipping and handling.
