I've used this in 5 storms so far this year and it's low profile and good grip has saved my palm from blisters and helps with shoulder fatigue. Had to re-tighten only once and it's held since should have bought this yrs ago.

I'm going to need a significant surgery on both hands soon (on one hand at a time, thankfully) so I ordered this steering wheel knob in preparation for driving one handed during the several months recovery periods. As others have noted, it's a pain to install, but I think that's necessary so it fits as snugly as possible to keep it from slipping while driving. I used the medium sized loop (two different sizes were sealed in the package and a larger one was loose in the box) with the thickest rubber spacer for my 2018 Subaru Crosstrek. I'm really glad I decided to install this while I still have use of both hands. I don't think it can be installed using one hand only.I installed it at the 10 o'clock position on my steering wheel because I'll likely have my right hand operated on first. I'll move it to the 2 o'clock position before my left hand surgery. The knob spins well and it does make one handed driving much easier. Because of its low profile, this steering knob style is designed for you to steer with your palm which is perfect in my case given my hand issues.I think this steering knob will be a huge help after my surgeries.

Boy this took quite some time to get it just right and finally on my steering wheel. If you’re looking at this product or probably disabled like me so you’re hoping for something slightly easy to put on, so I’m gonna give you a few tips. Firstly, there is no pen or screw installed which is fabulous while you’re trying to figure out which size to use on your car. When you open the package, the pen screw and screwdriver will be taped in so be careful undoing it so you don’t lose the pieces. I ended up going with With a medium sized ring and using the thickest rubber insert cut in half and doubled. I’m in a 2015 corolla just to give you an idea of the type of vehicle for comparison. Just a heads up the piece that screws in has to push in from the outside. If you try to push it top to bottom it won’t go in because it’s like a puzzle piece. Once you get it snapped in, You will have to hold it on tight while you get the first screws threaded in, but once it’s threaded, you’re good to go. You just have to keep cranking. I got this to replace the one that’s currently on my steering wheel and destroying it due to the metal digging into , the steering wheel itself. When I went to install it, I forgot my Allen wrench to take the old one off so now I’m gonna leave them both on temporarily to see which side I prefer and to make sure this other one works before I take the one I know works off. it seems to be built well it’s comfortable and in the end it ended up fitting quite well. Assuming that it serves the purpose and Ted I think it will be great and I would recommend it. If something changes, I will come back and update this post .

I currently use this type of spinning wheel on larger wheels - particularly on boats. This one was put on my tractor where I had so many turning repetitions that I wanted to make it easier to drive. The device is well-manufactured and I do like the ball bearings they use in the wheel. Makes for a very sooth turning effect. As with many of the Chinese-sourced Amazon products, the directions are marginal - where they are even provided. They ship the product currently with one of the plastic bottoms not physically included in the packaging - it is just loosely dropped into the shipping package. That, I assume, they will remedy. They do include 3 of the bottom, plastic half-rings and you pick the one that best fits your wheel. Mine used the middle size and then both of the rubber "filler" pads to provide the tightest fit. It's a clumsy design but I'm not sure what would be better. Once I did struggle to get the best mix of selections on, it seems to grip well and, I think, will function fine. However, one drawback that caused me to definitely not give it 5 stars is that the knob sits low to the surface of the wheel on which you mount it. I have another on a boat that sits taller so that when you turn it you have a little space between your knuckles and the wheel you are controlling. I like that design better. But, this one does work fine and enhanced by the ball bearing design,I would probably order this again.

I've owned a steering wheel knob for years. It makes turning easier, especially one-handed, and it's nice to change my hand position from the wheel to the knob on long drives just to give my hands a break. My current steering knob is great, but old, and the bearings are wearing out. I've been looking for a replacement, so when I saw this one I decided to give it a try.It arrived in a plastic package, one of the ones that you have to cut open, and included all of the pieces. However, one piece was floating around inside the box, which makes no sense as the package was still sealed. Not sure what happened there.Installation isn't too hard. You find the right adaptor for your steering wheel thickness, clamp it over the wheel, then use a screw to hold it on.In use, I'm not too pleased. The knob fits very close to the wheel so you can't get your fingers over it. It looks like it was designed to be steering with your palm flat against it rather than having your fingers wrapped around the knob. I don't like this, palm driving isn't nearly as safe.Overall I'm not happy with this product. It is nice, and if you're looking for a knob that's lower-profile and meant to be used with your palm, have at it. For me it's going to be stored away somewhere.I don't recommend.
