We have two cowdogs, medium in size, very active! I saw this on Amazon as I was looking for fun dog toys, and I would have never thought of a tether ball set for dogs! This set is very sturdy, we put a little cement into the ground before setting the pole in, and it has held up great! I have made many videos of our dogs playing with this, they do actually jump up, hit the ball with their noses, and run around chasing it to do it again and again! I have to make them stop so they don't hyperventilate, they have so much fun! yes, the ball is inflated and I know that after some time their teeth will catch and I will have to replace the ball itself, but I don't care, they have a blast and it's worth every penny! You won't regret buying this set for your dog or dogs! Well worth the money!

We got this for our German Shepherd. He loved it and had a great time.....for about 5 minutes. He got ahold of the ball in his mouth, popped it immediately, then pulled on it and bent the pole over to the ground, kept pulling until the plastic piece holding the swivel popped out, then proceeded to drag the ball and rope into the house through the dog door. All we could do was laugh. I wish I had it on video! If you get this item, better reinforce the pole with concrete, sand, or rebar inside. Otherwise, make sure the ball is big enough that your dog cannot fit it in it's mouth.

I was surprised at how strong the metal pole was. This is a very sturdy tetherball set and should last a long time. . we put it in a bucket with cement and then put it in the ground to keep it stable. Grandkids love it and keeps them busy and away from tv and cellphone. This is an old school game but all new to the younger generation.

so this is our third tether ball pole and the one that seems to last. I wasn't a fan of digging a hole and using concrete but the end results were fantastic, and it still is lawn people friendly which is nice. Seems to be holding up very very well even with daily use!
