Our kiln-dried Pau Ferro fingerboard has flat undersides, is unfretted (no inlays), and is ready for trimming to fit a variety of neck widths.
This slotted fingerboard for Fender Guitar (with compound radius) features:
- 25.5" scale
- 10" to 14.5" radius
- 24 fret slots + nut slot
A compound radius allows cleaner string bending and lower string action without fret buzz.
Compound radius: The playing surface radius gradually changes from 10" at the nut, to 13" at the 12th fret, to 14-1/2" at the 22nd fret. We recommend setting your bridge saddles to an overall radius of 16".

Pau Ferro
In recent years Pau Ferro (Machaerium scleroxylon) fingerboards have become quite popular—especially with electric guitar builders—due to its sustainability, excellent resistance to wear and ability to hold frets like a vise. Plus, its non-porous surface makes it feel silky smooth and almost effortless to play.
