I have about 10 bags. Some made of nylon, some made of canvas. I use them to organize things carried in my car (e.g., first-aid supplies, ponchos, ice cleats, emergency equipment, binoculars, etc.).To aid identifying contents of the bag, I attach labels indicating their contents. The types of material the bags and labels are made of, how much the bags flex, and because of the temps to which they are subjected, makes glues unreliable. Instead, I rely on mechanical methods.A sewing awl does the job, but requires a lot of time and effort. To simplify attaching labels to the bags, I opted to try this stitch gun. Though not flawless in its performance, it got the job done significantly quicker than using the sewing awl. The labels are sufficiently secured that I am unconcerned about them separating from the bags. That makes this an impressive little tool. Especially considering it survived [careful] use on the heavy nylon and canvas.I tried repairing a nylon work coat to repair about twenty inches separated seam on the arm. The nylon of the coat was significantly lighter than the materials of the bags.To repair the seam, I pulled the two sides back together and inserted “stitches.†The repair is frail, but I only did a stitch about every 1-1/2". To be reliable against the abuse the repaired section is exposed to, I suspect I’d need to limit the gap between stitches to about 1/4" to 3/8".Both when attaching labels and repairing the seam, the stitcher missed several “stitches.†Pulling the trigger again didn’t install another stitch, unless I push down on the row of stitches (cartridge (?) before pulling the trigger again. I, finally, just started pushing the cartridge into the stitcher for each trigger pull.Issues noted aside, I would buy this for certain uses and the occasional repair or alteration.

The Stitch Gun for Clothes is a handy and reliable tool for quick clothing fixes and tagging, perfect for boutiques, retail, or home use. It’s lightweight, easy to grip, and comes with two fine needles and 4,000 fasteners (2,000 white & 2,000 black), making it a great value. One of the biggest perks? This is a game-changer for shorties like me who constantly struggle to find pants and clothes that fit properly! Instead of spending money on tailoring, I can quickly hem or adjust clothes myself. The gun works well overall, but I did find that I have to push the fasteners down every time for it to function properly. It’s a small extra step, but once you get the hang of it, the process becomes smoother. If you’re looking for a quick, affordable, and DIY-friendly way to alter clothes, this is a great choice! Perfect for tagging, fixing seams, and making small adjustments on the fly. Highly recommend!
