This is the only style of strike plate I found that had a proper adjustable mechanism. My previous one basically asks you to bend the tab to adjust the door... well, I tried it and the results were very poor. Not only was the range of adjustability very minimal, but if you bend the tab too much it will just snap off. This hardware is a MUCH better design. There are teeth on the plate that catch or "click" at a specific distance of your choosing. This allowed me to precisely adjust the strike plate to get my door to close properly without air gaps. Note: most of the adjustability on this hardware is to make the door looser. Only a couple of teeth are dedicated to making it tighter. Thankfully that was all I needed to get my door to shut properly.

Exterior door would not seal due to the latch being loose. Sort of stumbled on this solution and happy I did. I had to use all of the slack in the new strike plate to tighten up the door, but it worked. I may need to swap in longer screws to keep it secure but happy with the product.

the old original strike plate was not holding the door all the way shut against the weather strip even with the tang bent out a good bit. this adjustable plate on its furthest in position got me just what I needed and nothing extra, if it proves to need a little more in the future, I can tweak the tang a little bit but for now it seems just right.

My front door would not close tightly enough for the smart lock bolt to engage. This fixed the problem and as a bonus the weather stripping now fits more tightly. Great product.
