Nothing beats real glass for sanitizing and assured non-reactivity! Yes they cost more than cheap plastic but if you're a professional, or want to become one, these are for you.Very sturdy! All ten dishes arrived safe and sound thanks to excellent packaging (see picture). I am already using them for cultures.

After ordering a few different brands of petri dishes from Amazon, this one is by far the best. The others were poorly packed and came with at least one broken dish. This is packed very well. The top and bottom fit well. A green alternative to disposable dishes. I sterilize and pour agar in my oven (look up oven pour glass petri dish tek).

I had purchased other petri dishes made of glass before, and had a problem with them cracking. However, these petri dishes arrived in an oversized box with about a half inch of foam padding around each one. They hold up very well to re-processing and autoclaveing.

Pros:- They must've upped their shipping since the other reviews because they took every effort to ensure the petri dishes arrived unbroken and it worked!Cons:- As others have specified, the lids are a decent amount larger than the base. As a result it does not fit snugly on and instead has lots of free room. Now, I knew what I was getting into for that because they state it and other reviews mention it. But still -1 star for that. I wish there were closer fit petri dishes available at this pricepoint.Side note: Even though they are glass you probably won't be able to put them in your dishwasher because they are too small and will slip through the racks.

Not only have I never received a dish that was broken, but I use these over and over and have even dropped a few short distances and they never break. Solid product right here!!

Only one lid was broken, but I’m using them for watercolor pans so didn’t bother me. The remaining 19 are perfectly beautiful!

Order 6 plates. 2 arrived broken, 2 arrived with manufacturing defects. Seller policy says contact them and they will make it right, but they don’t have any contact method posted. If they respond to this review and make it right, I will update accordingly.

Product came in with a couple broken plates. Customer service was helpful enough to refund me on those two plates within about 2 days of contacting them.. The other 8 plates are all great looking.

For some reason the seller packages these in a very thin cardboard box stacked on top of each other, i had 3 broken lids and 2 broken bottoms so i got 7 working containers. other than that product is great quality, will speaking to the sipper about their incompitent shipping methods. It does say on box very fragile, do not drop, etc. The reaility is anything 9in the mail gets tossed and thrown many times in out of trucks and various containers, labels saying glass inapropriatly packaged are not enough.
