Decided that my old rubber hoses that were cracked and worn on my 98 4runner needed some replacing. Heard about the benefits of stainless steel braided lines from fourms. Honestly it's hard to tell exactly whether it was the new brake lines or the fact I have fresh brake fluid in now too. I think it's both. Before my brake fluid was way overdue by the looks of it. It was dark and my pedal feel left a lot to be desired. Now with fresh fluid and these brake lines my braking feel and performance is sooo much better. The pedal now is very firm and responsive. Takes a lot less effort to come to a stop or scrubbing speed. These are definitely worth it in my opinion. They fit like OEM too. Just re-use your spring retainer thingies that come off your OEM rubber hoses. make sure to spray some penetrating oil on the hose fittings and use a fitting wrench when taking them off so you don't strip them. For those of you looking for extended hoses on the front of your 3rd gen 4runner / 1st gen Tacoma they are not needed if you have stock length control arms. The distance doesn't change from the hardlines like it does in the rear when you do a suspension lift

Put this on a 2000 4Runner and after doing the tundra big brake upgrade they seems to improve the braking feel

Very carefully selected the proper part for my particular vehicle, matched up against the OEM before removing old ones, and it looked like they'd fit. However once removed old line it became apparent these hoses were about an inch short. Calling customer service only puts you in an endless telephone cue that perpetually says "you are caller number 2" for hours and no one ever answers the call. If you elect to leave a message you are immediately told "the mailbox is full" and the call ends. I would avoid this item like a bad case of VD. Total phony customer support. Big mistake buying these, don't make the same mistake.

No major complaints here! I did have to tighten a little more than expected to get a good seal, but I have some good piece of mind now knowing my lines are a bit more durable.

Great brake lines, perfect fit, nice n confident inspiring.I wish they used clear shrink wrap over the yellow DOT labels tho. The dot #'s rub right off, kinda a bummer. I'm not driving through the scales, but it would just look nice. Overall I'd buy them again tho.
