For years, I was never a pedal board guy, using only one Zoom effect pedal for my guitar which does just about everything. But when I ended up the only singer in my band, I started adding vocal effects pedals for singing, harmony, doubling, onboard delays and other effects, I needed a small compact board right below my feet for juggling all the effects WHILE playing and singing. This board, with multiple rated power outlets, fit the bill. The 9v 300mA, 9v 700mA, 12v 500mA and 18v 500mA power outlets are a convenient touch. I've had to use all four. The carrying case is indispensable. A perfect unit.

The integrated power supply comes with a thoughtful assortment of outputs. There is a risk though, especially for people inexperienced with powering effects pedals. Some (many) pedals can be damaged if they are provided power with too many volts (more than 9). The 12 and 18 volt outputs on the power supply are labeled, but with the same white letters as the 9v outputs and it would be very easy for someone to either unknowingly use the wrong output or accidentally connect a 9volt only pedal to the wrong port. I suggest putting tape over the 12v and 18v puts unless you are using them ith a pedal that has those requirements.A picky point about the power is that the wall wart doesn't tuck neat under the board. With some velcro it would otherwise be easier to pack ad avoid cable snags if the wall wart were of different proportions, or even better, to use a standard ICE 3 prong cable like those for other music and electronic equipment. The inclusion of the bag with strap, velcro, integrated power supply, and connecting power cables represents a good value compared to buying pieces separately.

I liked it so much, I bought a second one. One holds five average size pedals. It has a built in power supply and comes with the power cables to plug into your pedals so you don't have to use batteries. It fits one row of pedals. If space is an issue for you, you might like this one. It comes with a carry bag and the velcro-like strips to secure your pedal to the board.

I am primarily a bass player who also plays guitar. I’ve been playing both for over 50 years, but now I just noodle around with my guitar at home for my own enjoyment. I have never done much with pedals but I have recently acquired a couple of new ones. Also, I received a couple of cool “vintage†pedals from a family member. I am having fun exploring the sounds that they are giving me. But, as my collection grows, I needed some way to keep them organized, even if I never venture beyond my music room at home.Having said all that, this seemed pretty cool, so I ordered it from Amazon. I have a couple of other guitar accessories from Strich and they are all decent quality and this pedal board is no exception. There are two thing in particular I like about this pedal board. First, the case is large enough to hold the board while keeping the pedals attached. I was able to get the case zipped closed even with my fairly large old Mosrite FUZZ rite on the board. Second, the board has a built-in power supply with seven of the standard 9vdc connections, plus one 12v and one 18v ports. The pedal board also includes eight power cords to connect your pedals to the power supply. The top of the board has Velcro attached and a strip of adhesive backed Velcro is included for your pedals so that they can be mounted to the board. I haven’t used this yet; I just placed my pedals on the board to check out the placement. This may seem obvious to most people reading this review, but you may have to remove any little rubber feet on the bottom of your pedals to attach the Velcro properly.I have included a picture with this review that shows my old Vox Wah Wah pedal next to the board, not on it. This Strich board is fairly small and is not really made for a big pedal like my Wah. I don’t intend this to be a criticism, just something to note. Make sure you are aware of the size of this board before you order it. For me, it’s just fine and I’m looking forward to using it.

I like the design with power jacks on the back of the board, I think it’s a cleaner appearance and easier to swap pedals in and out. This board comes with an 18v “wall wart†with a 4-5 foot cable that goes into the back on the board.I use pedals with different draws and I like the variety of output jacks: five 9v 100mA, one each of 9v 300mA, 9v700mA, 12v500mA and 18v500mA, plus a 5v USB out. With an 18v power supply “your mileage may vary†as far as the number of pedals you can drive at once. My experience with 18v is 3-5, depending on the pedals.I like the board’s construction. It’s lightweight metal that feels solid without excess weight. There’s a gentle slope that’s comfortable for my foot and the rubber feet hold the board in place well on a wood floor.I like the large gap in the center of the board. Plenty of room not just for power cords but for excess patch cord length to keep it away from my feet and fingers. The gap still allows mini and full-sized pedals to coexist comfortably..The space out the back of the board is about a half inch, which is plenty for any power cord I’ve come across.I like that the entire board surface is covered in hook and loop material, and a nice long adhesive strip is provided for pedals. The case is soft and not what I’d call padded. But it has about a 5 inch height that will hold a fully loaded board comfortably.

If you have no wider pedals you might fit 5, though even that could be difficult if your interconnects aren’t low profile. The cables I am using have jacks that are quite large, so it’s a little tight, but it works. The power supply on the board I received is quiet and has no issues. It’s nice to have the versatility of different voltage supplies, and you could still power pedals sitting off the board if you ran out of room. The included bag seems of decent quality.
