The pole would not fit in the flange because on the inside, around the flange's three screw holes, there was a raised ridge . So be prepared to file or grind down these ridges. Requires a metric masonry bit to install the expansion bolts. Not appropriate for this country. Neither Ace or Home Depot sell metric bits. Have to get from Amazon with delay.

These were easy to install they look great on our deck. The only thing that took time was making the decision as to how far apart they needed to be to make sure they were symmetrical looking on our deck and that it most importantly pleased my wife!
