Benchmarked a lot of stands and tried (and returned 2 stands). They were either not flexible in terms of tilt or did not extend to the correct height below the ceiling. This ceiling mount was just perfect with the Benq HT1085ST and should work for most if not all projectors. It was ALL METAL frame with adjustable height that can extend to any length from 4" to 12".It can tilt, swivel and pitch Upto 30degrees...and best of all, all of this adjustability is very easily done even after the projector is mounted.Could not believe how easy, sturdy and convince by this mount was....and all that for $22.Cons - the only gripe if at all is that it does not come in white. The black is a powder coated finish though and looks great.

I used this to hang a Viewsonic PX748-4K projector.Needed low profile because this was going into a basement where the ceiling is only 7ft tall.Works fine, but the screws were a bit rough to get through the plastic, then into the mounting hub.Pros:Comes with screws and spacers to attach to the projector.Works on 3 or 4 point mountsLow profile. Hangs just a few inches down from the ceiling.Cheap!!!Cons:Screws were a bit of a pain to put through the plastic bushings, then into the central hub.You need to hold the projector while trying to find the screw hole to secure it. - Better mounts hold the projector while securing it. - Recommend 2 people for this task.Overall, not bad for the price you pay.

Mount was easy to install, and very adjustable so it worked well with my Epson projector. The installation videos on the web walked through this step by step. Looked at other brackets that were much more expensive, and this one does the trick, is well made, and a good value.

I like this mount. The ceiling panel is beefy and wide, the provided screws are of good quality, and the instructions for assembly are clear. They're even easier to follow if you view Silver Ticket's YouTube videos for a live demonstration of how to assemble this mount. I found those videos very valuable for that tricky center screw. On my model it was already tightened. Sometimes it's not. I used this mount to attach a BenQ W1070 to my ceiling. Everything went well! The adjustment mechanism for this mount is a friction-based cup/half-sphere connection. This allows you to pitch, yaw, and roll the orientation of the projector. Then you simply tighten down the locking ring to hold things into position. Your projector will want to move while you tighten this down, unfortunately. Keep a good hold on it and the position will be locked in if you tighten it enough. I found myself progressively tightening this mount and adjusting the position of the projected image until things were solid and where I wanted them.Overall a good purchase! Only thing I didn't like was one of those little projector arm washers was missing. Since the W1070 only has 3 mounts instead of 4 it's not an issue. Some people may be upset that there is no cord management inside the mount stalk. My HDMI cable is so thick it wouldn't have gone in there anyway so no problem.

Mount does not hold my 22 lbs. projector in place well. Watched the youtube tutorial. Tightened the center bolt while the adjustment knob was loose. Cranked down on the adjustment knob and it's still slightly loose. Had to play around with it a lot to get it positioned correctly. Basically had to angle it up towards the ceiling so when it falls down, it falls to the correct position. It works for now, highly doubt it will stay in place long term. Will replace the mount with something else when I have time. Also the mount was missing the rubber/plastic washers and had to use my own. It is highly adjustable which is nice. If your PJ weighs more than 20 lbs. I would not recommend this product. If there is a weight limit for this PJ, I did not see it in the description/specs. I also have a Silver Ticket screen which was easy to put together and works great. But the mount needs some improvement.9 month update: Projector is still in correct position. Upgrading from 2 stars to 3 stars. Haven't had any issues with it staying in place.

I needed a low-profile mount and this is the only one in its price bracket. That being said it works well. My only complaint is that the ball joint in the middle is really imprecise if you are trying to make small adjustments.TIP: Try to arrange the mounting point so that the projector's center of gravity is centered on the ball joint. When you have to adjust the ball joint in the middle to make the projector level you will find that after you tighten the ball joint it will settle in a place slightly different than where you think it should. If your projector center of gravity is centered on the joint and your account for the settling it will work.TIP2: Mount the projector to the mount before attaching the mounting plate to the ceiling so you can see where the projector lens will sit in the middle of the room. Many projector lenses are offset and the mounting plate will need to be offset too.I do not regret my purchase. It's fiddly but stays put once you get it where you want it and the low-profile accommodates my low ceiling situation.

This was the lowest profile mount I could find. Works great with my Optoma HD180. Fits in a 7.5" cubby hole we built into my soffit, but I had to create a sliding "ceiling plate" using drawer slides and plywood. Follow the instructions and watch the youtube video to understand how to use the tightening ring without unscrewing the core screw.

I needed a mount that hugged the ceiling... and this did exactly that... close to the ceiling, adjustable for fine tuning, and universal mount for my projector.Negatives- None, it was exactly what I expected.Positives- Very study and firm neck so you can easily fine tune it and it won't slide around- Hugs the ceiling, couldn't be shorter and still allow some adjustment.- Hefty; this is steel and weight like it... clean powder coat finish though- Super simple installBest low profile mount for your buck. Love this.
