My car trailer tool box bent the bottom section of the ladder on my 2000 Southwind when I turned too sharply in a gas station. I was able to use the bottom section and elbows to connect to my existing top section. I used a copper pipe tube cutter to cut the top section to match the new bottom. Since the bottom section mounting bolts are easy to get to save the nightmare of trying to mount a whole new ladder. The ladder is now very sturdy making it easy to get on top of the RV.

Doesn't seam like it would be sturdy but once installed it is very sturdy, at time I installed I weighed 350lbs and it's rated 250lbs and held me very well now I've lost alot of weight, so can't wait to try it out this summer.

The bargain price compelled me to buy this ladder. The back of my RV is straight, so I didn't need the joint feature and don't really like the look of the hinge joints, which are necessary to bridge the two sections together. I am fairly mechanically competent, but it still was challenging to do all the fitting, cutting, drilling, and mounting. But the result was satisfactory. The ladder is sturdy, well made, and attractive (excepting the hinge joints). I suppose I could have engineered a joint solution that would have looked better if I had the time and inclination. It would have been nice if straight couplers were provided in addition or as an optional model. Other than this quibble, it's a good product. Not relevant to the product design, but my RV did not have really solid material behind the surface where the brackets attached for good screw holding power. Just the surface sheet of fiberglass with a thin veneer backing. After positioning all the bracket mounts and drilling the screw holes, I prepared the area under each mount and used 3,400 psi marine epoxy to add holding strength along with the 4 screws. So far, my installation seems to be very solid with no indication of strain or movement at the mounting points.

Does exactly what it is intended to do. I am 240 or so and it holds up great and is very sturdy. Beware however, most likely your wall studs on your camper and the cross beams on the roof will not line up, however there are several points to distribute weight. Also you are not supposed to be on your camper roof more than 2 to 3 times per year. Most important point (maybe just me?) is that install was tough and you will need at least 2 people to pull it off.

I cut the bottom off and made a bracket that attaches to my back bumper for the ladder to attach to so my weight is carried by the bumper instead of solely by the wall of the camper. Other than* my modifications, the ladder itself is as expected. You don't want a 100 pound steel ladder weighing down the back of your camper so this is what's available on the market. It's very lightweight and not what you call sturdy...exactly what you want in an RV ladder. I suppose you could find a carbon fiber ladder that would be solid and sturdy and last forever. Of course it would still attach to a flimsy RV wall and would probably cost a million dollars so I went with this one. Works great. I'm 180#'s. Not 180 hashtags. That's the symbol for pound if you're not a millennial. Also, check my use of the word "than". It is used in the proper context. If you would have used the word "then" then please check into the proper use of the words then and than. It is becoming an epidemic people. Let's fix this social illiteracy!

Can’t say how sturdy and easy the ladder is to install. It seems sturdy and probably take some time to install properly. Can’t believe than both my packages were smashed so bad I had to return them. The second package had sand and dirt on and in it. How did that happen. Manufacturer should put the product in a more sturdy box.

Good price. Had to send first back as it was missing parts (be sure to check when you first receive) but Amazon immediately sent out a new one before I'd even returned the old one (as my rig was sitting at the fixit place running up the meter to install it). I had them install as it needed some modifications and I wanted to ensure it was done securely and sealed well. It was actually only installed top and middle as I have a bumper toolbox mounted in the way of where it would mount at the bottom. They were able to modify and adapt things as needed so I now have a bottom piece that hooks over one of the steps and then comes to rest on the toolbox. Since then I've been up and down it and feel comfortable with it's quality. Be aware it is narrow, but doable to climb with a little care. Was a great addition to my rig after having scratched paint leaning ladders up against it :-(

Product arrived quickly. I installed in on my full sized Citation Camper. (original had some damage, due to backing into something, before I bought it) As my camper is quite a bit smaller than a full sized motor home, I had to cut about 18 inches off. It is a little intimidating to cut the ladder, but with some forethought it worked out great. The hardware is similar to the original, with the ladder being slightly lighter in gauge. I installed the stand-offs in the original locations so, there was minimal hole filling. The instructions are not the greatest, but if you lay everything out beforehand, it will make sense. It doesn't feel like it should support a 200 pound man, but it does.. Would have given 5 stars if the instructions were more complete and easier to understand. Note: this product would be recommended for anyone with some intermediate tool sense. Not for beginners.

Easy to install and looks great and proportion to the size of my 32 foot motor home. I was concerned when upon arrival the packaging was quite damaged and thought parts and pieces would not be enclosed. I was fortunate, but I certainly would improve and secure the contents if I were this company. Other than that no complaints.
