For the money, the cello is very nice. The strings are very cheap but you get what you pay for. All In all, I'm very happy with it. I would highly recomend for a starter. It's been 20 years or so since I played. It works great to get back into it.

The bridge came broken as well as one of the strings. A total piece of junk!

Strings are so cheap they broke while tuning it for the first time; I worked on tuning it over the course of an hour because I did not want to stretch the new strings too much and break them, and the A string broke without ever getting near an A (it was between F and F sharp when it popped), so maybe the string was defective in the first place. The tuning pegs also are not great. I have had the cello for a few days now, and they still lose their friction and unwind in the middle of playing. These are things that can be replaced, but it would have been better to have them work with the product I already purchased.
