For some weird reason the previous owner managed to loose the tie down clamp and when I bought my used 2005 Subaru Legacy Limited Station Wagon, and the battery was held in with a rubber shock cord. This is the complete set of parts needed to hold the battery on place to an intact battery tray and sidewall. Nothing else to buy. It is apparently an OEM package and it fit in perfectly. Except that it is shiny and new, you can't tell that it was purchased when the car was 12 years old. Do you really want your battery bouncing around when you hit a pothole or dodge a deer at night? I don't. This is inexpensive and works great!

My old clamps were rusted out, these work perfectly and appear to be authentic.

I have a 2008 subaru impreza wrx sti and the original battery tie down came lose but was all rusted so I couldn't loosen the nuts and put it back on. This replacement kit fit (came with all the pieces I needed) perfectly and works just as it should.

Sturdy and a perfect fit. Doesn't feel cheap at all and glad I got this in pretty quickly.

I purchased my 2005 Outback (the 2.5i automatic) second-hand, so it didn't come with a tie-down, though I didn't notice this for about three years. Glad to have gotten a hold of one, because it installed quite easily and fits perfectly. For install: the nuts are 10mm. The short leg goes through the flat part of the tie-down and behind the "back" of the battery, which is to say the side nearest to the windshield; it hooks onto a little hole back there in the body of the car. The long leg goes through the angled part of the tie-down and in "front" of the battery, the part nearest the windshield washer fluid reservoir; it hooks over a little tab on the battery's platform. I had to attach the short leg first, then the long leg, to get everything situated. and tight. All well enough. The design of the tie-down itself leaves something to be desired, since it takes some finagling to get it in place, but it definitely does the job.

Perfect fit for my 09 legacy GT. The nut on the longer bolt holding my old battery was seized horribly. Penetrating oil did nothing and I started to shear the bolt trying to remove the nut. I bought this kit not needing the rest of the parts but it was cheap enough and all of the pieces are new now, which is nice for the next time the battery needs removed.
