It works amd fits. I bought a used impreza and when i changed the belts i noticed. Whoever worked on it before me wasn't very intelligent. And forgot to put the guard back on so had to buy this one and it's an exact fit

Fits and works perfectly. Make sure you space it out from the belt. Spec space calls for 1mm. The easiest way to do this is to stuff two playing cards in between the belt and the guide. Then torque the bolts down and pull out the cards. I can tell you how long it took me to find that lol
