I have a 2013 Keystone Cougar fifth wheel trailer. I camped in the Colorado mountains a month ago. I set the furnace on the first night and went to bed. We later woke to the Carbon Monoxide alarm and I immediately shut off the furnace and ventilated the RV. Everyone was ok including our pets. I now have two Carbon Monoxide detectors in the trailer! After returning home, I purchased and received a hand held carbon monoxide detector from Amazon. I started the old furnace at home and the air from the original furnace immediately set off the alarm on the hand held CO detector. I removed the old Suburban furnace, located the manufacturers model number and ordered the Suburban Replacement Core. The new core fit well in my 11 year old furnace enclosure. The only modification was drilling one small hole in the enclosure to match up to the hole in the rear foot of the new core. Start by turn all electrical and propane off. You will need to cut wires going to the old furnace. Mark both ends and inspect where they connected to the old furnace. The new core wiring is of course different than the old one but take your time it isn't too hard to figure out. The new one came some install instructions and thankfully, a wiring diagram. The new furnace exceeded my expectations. It pushes more air, it is about the same for noise, and it puts out hotter air than the old one.

Nothing to dislike. The unit came on instantly after a little over an hour to install, and works great. The nice thing is that the fan is very quiet.

The furnace was packaged well with documentation and installation instructions and operating manual and information after installation one of the first things I noticed it is very quiet, it heats very quickly, and the fan works so much better. It is an exact replacement to the original in my cabinet at hundreds less

Furnace works less than 1/2 of the time. Definately does not work when its freezing out and I need it to keep the rv tanks from freezing. Looks like I need to return it. VERY disapointing! I would not buy it again.UPDATE: Tech came out and replaced the board. Furnace worked for a day and a half before failing again. I will NOT buy surburban appliances again......warrenty support is also appalling.2nd UPDATE: tech made a 2nd visit to repair furnace again. Replaced 2 boards with suburban boards. Both failed to work. Tech found bad relays on the suburban boards. After 3 weeks furnace is still not working.Suburban refuses to pay the warrenty repair bill. DO NOT BUY SUBURBAN FURNACES

I own a 2001 Tiffin Allegro 33DA motorhome since 2017 . In that time the Suburban SF35 furnace has worn out 4 motors ( I am a full timer) .When the fifth motor starting making noise , I replaced the core with the RP35Q .It is built around a ball bearing motor instead of the smaller bushing motor . Installation was tight in the existing case I shoehorned it in with a putty knife , and the gas inlet was in the exact same position. After splicing 4 wires , it works perfectly ! 30 minute job and it is a bit quieter than the original. I definately reccomend this upgrade

This unit does not conform to NT 30 SP Suburban furnace as suggested .WHEN YOU attempt to contact Suburban for furnace you get car dealerships , I recommend you keep away unless you have the identical core other wise u have to rebuild the compartment and change gas fittings and exhaust ports

The second one I bough, the second one I had to cut the overflow switch to make it. Not very good.

I kept on buying parts for my existing camper furnace. Got tired and started to look around online and stores within my area to only find it to be really expensive. This one came up on Amazon and I ordered it right away. This is a whole unit and goes in your existing case. Mine was SF-35F and I bought this and it fits perfectly. There are no issues and practically plug and play.
