These strainers are mint! They are well made, extremely durable and super easy to clean. The strainer rim is banded with stainless steel which prevents any food or debris getting lodged like other strainers. Mesh is heavy gauge and a nice tight weave for fine straining. You will not regret purchasing these!

It works fine but you have to remember thicker paint will take longer to strain itself than just a #1 strainer bag and a squeeze

I bought these for final straining of my honey. I use the double stacked sieves which are 600 and 400 microns, and I was looking for something finer, to get the last of the impurities. As a test, I strained some honey which had gone through my 400 micron sieve and then used this one. Nothing more was removed. I then turned the process around and used this sieve first and then my 400 micron one. That took out more impurities. Based on that, this sieve seems to be larger than 400 microns. I do really like the large bowl and the fact it sits on a five gallon bucket without complicate slider frames.
