They are metal hooks, screws, and fasteners. That is what it says on Amazon and that is what it is. They are holding up my solar shade and it hasn't blown away or fallen down. So they are doing what they are supposed to. Very good, just smaller then they look, but perfectly functional.

This kit seemed to be great quality. I installed my sunshade on top of my pergola to give our deck little more shade. Used this kit and it worked great. I could tell the steel wasn't just a cheap coating. Seemed like actually 304 stainless. Install was a breeze and the turnbuckles made tightening the sunshade simple. The only problem I had is the supplied screws. The head felt soft and I could see these easily being stripped.

All the hardware is very good quality and will hold up well in the weather. Wall anchors are flimsy plastic and would definitely not be smart to use in any way with the tension you have to use with a shade sail

I bought to install my sun shade. Super easy. Came with all parts and simple instructions. I thought I wouldn't need the extension s-hooks and was looking for a kit that just had D-rings. But the extender actually saved the day when my son installed the base just a bit out of reach on the last side. Simply twisted the hook to extent the extra inch I needed and saved time not having to reinstall the base. Fits great and looks great. Not an eye sore at all to the look I wanted.

The screw head snapped off screwing into wood (see photo). Adjustable bracket is a bit thinner than others I have purchased in the past. I ended up using my own screws to mount sails.
