I personally like the look of the 4" recessed instead of 6". However, most of the big box stores charge 40-75% more for the smaller ones. Love these. I've put them in when I redid my kitchen and finished my basement. Super easy to wire, go up easy, and work great!

I've used the two big brands that the Orange store carries for years and years. They have both gone to junk. The CE brand from the Orange Box Store is complete garbage. Might as well be made out of tin-foil. That being said these Sunco units have nice metal quality. The fit and finish is nice to work with (no sharp edges, etc). The wire strain relief system works well and the push connectors work nicely. I haven't gotten to use the lights yet as they are only roughed-in but after using three brands on this remodel the Sunco is my favorite by far to work with.

For LED quick connect only. It supplies 120 v to the (not included) LED style snap in lamp. One huge plus: the junction box is pre-fitted with triple tap push in wire connectors! No more wire nuts! Plus the fire thought of feed through. The actual lamp housing is baked enamel steel. The steel frame wings will span 24", the junction box opens without a tool. The guy that designed these must've paid by the hour to have some one install cans at one time, because these are the easiest to install cans, from included joist nails, lamp connectors, easy fit adjustment and junction box access and wiring I have ever used.High quality. Thanks for reading

These new construction lights installed without issues in my existing ceiling with the leading edge of the bracket sliding snugly between the sheetrock and ceiling joists. 18 inches from the exterior wall was difficult but that was not because of the cans/lights: it was a very small space- and i replaced the supplied nails with short drywall screws when i couldn’t swing a hammer. Physical and electrical install went smoothly. Metal legs seem flimsy yet once the cans were fastened, they would not move from position. Love the IC rating. Wondering about air tightness- in the attic i think i can see light coming thru from living space. Comments here from maker say foam next to them is ok, but other discussions suggest heat from lights could be a problem... how much heat do 7 watt LEDs put out? Dimming with lutron caseta dimmer (amazon) and apple homekit/siri is more a function of the LEDs than the can, but i’ve had no buzzing or dimming problems. Tho other double wall cans may be more airtight, I would still recommend these as a good product.

I toyed around with so many of those different pancake lights, or other lights that you have to run electrical cables, panel THEN wire and was frustrated with their instructions, light output, ESPECIALLY the inability to change the bulb as I trust LED lifespan claims about as far as I can throw a car.I decided to give these a shot for a new construction effort Im working on at home and I must say for the price these are great.I wish they had SOME sort of strain relief built in , like even some little cheap plastic items but I opted to wire without as the aluminum wasnt that sharp and there wont be alot of vibration in the area these are going. I made a mistake and wired one outside of the junction box holes, and then realized I cant 'unwire' these as these are push in connectors. Love the connectors but wish there was an easy way to remove the wires if a mistake is made. That's no this products fault. What I really like was the light output from the lights they sell for these. Im a bit worried that I wont be able to find 'bulb's long term so I bought another 10 pack just in case. I have 15 of these things wired in, and it took really no time at all, maybe a couple of hours including striping wires and stapling the wires, lining up where I wanted to lights to be.Nice adjustment on the arms holding the light as well. Easy to move a little left or right in between the joists. The price was really right on these, standard led connector gave me hope that if sunco goes under I can still find something that will work with these but like I said I bought extras just in case.My only complaint about one of the lights not dimming as low as the others. On very low one bulb out of 9 in a room stays out, but you raise the light a little then back down and it stays lit. No big deal.No hum using dimmer as well.Overall, can't complain.

Lots of adjustments, very easy to use nstall. If your studs are too close together, you will need to cut / bend them. Standard stud width, so easy to install.
