I call this a kitty onesie. My cat Sally has a sore on her belly due to overgrooming and is now on anxiety medication to decrease her overgrooming tendencies. Our vet has told us that it may take up to 6 weeks for the medication to decrease Sally's overgrooming habit. In the meantime, this breathable onesie prevents Sally from licking her belly sore and allowing it to get infected. Sally doesn't love wearing this onesie, but she has gotten used to it over the last 3 weeks. She is able to do everything she needs to do such as walk, eat, drink, and use the litter box on her own wearing the onesie. She has full range of motion, but definitely is less active when wearing this versus not. We think it may feel a bit snug on her like a Thundershirt which provides a "calming hug" sensation. We bought 2 of these and put a clean one on Sally at least every other day while we wash the other one. They have been durable for regular machine washing and drying too. We are sure to take the onesie off our cat for up to 20 minutes each day while watching her closely so she doesn't make her belly sore worse. We have been very happy with this product. The onesie fits as expected based on the dimensions provided on Amazon.

My little baby Penny has always been an over groomer; the only damage she caused in the past was just that she licked her fur off in spots where she is more sensitive (she has crazy cat syndrome lol), and then it would pass and her fur would grow back. But within the past month or so, she has started biting and chewing on herself, causing terrible open sores. And of course, when the scabs form and shed, they are itchy.I did a lot of research and found that this suit is the best solution for Penny’s skin issues. It is very soft, light and breathable. The Velcro is strong and doesn’t stick to everything like most Velcro. It’s pretty easy to put on and take off. I cut the adjustable neck string off because it fits her good around the neck and I have a huge fear of her strangling herself when she is home alone. It still stays on even when being looser around the neck. Thankfully she isn’t much of an escape artist though lol.I bought a Large for Penny. It fits her body and belly well- but she isn’t as long as most cats, so when she steps up into the litter box, sometimes her leg gets stuck inside the onesie, dragging it in the box and making a mess. We only put her in the suit when we leave the house because she doesn’t use the bathroom when we are gone. Make sure to take the top off of the litter box and use a shoe box or something as a step. Otherwise, you will have an unhappy kitty who is covered in peepee and does her business right outside of the litter box. Not to mention the mess. I think after adjusting her bathroom situation that she has gotten used to using the bathroom with the suit on. When we are home we put a waterproof cat recovery disc shaped collar on her most of the time. But sometimes she bends it just right and is able to reach her sores, so then we put her in the onesie.I bought two so that she has one to wear while the other is being washed. Wash it on cold and let air dry.I also started bathing her with “Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Antiseptic and Antifungal Medicated shampoo for dogs and catsâ€â€”- I bought it on Amazon. I have only used it once on her and her skin is no longer an angry red, it is just a tender pink. The bath helped wash away all of the scabs that were shedding and making her itch. It soothes her spots and she doesn’t lose her mind trying to lick and bite her spots like she did before.Save yourself trips to the vet -10/10 would buy again 😄

My cat, Loki got an infection on his abdomen that wouldnt fully heal because he constantly kept licking it. This shirt did the trick. Its breathable so it could heal but covered the area so he couldn't lick it. Has held up nicely as he is an indoor/outdoor cat. I bought 2 so I had an extra while washing one.The only complaint is the sizing. I got the large but wish there was an XL option. Its pretty snug. Hes a big boy about 13 pounds. A bigger cat would not fit. Bigger size options needed for larger cats.I love the snaps on it instead of the velcro. I chose this over others because I figure the velcro could get messy when he was playing outside. Other than the snug size great product .

It’s cute but too small I feel like if my cat wasn’t so long it would fit her perfect but she is so long so it’s more my fault then anything

I got this in L for my sweet elder kitty who was having a cyst removed on her back. I did not want her to have to wear a cone for 2+ weeks. This fit her marvelously and she looked so adorable, the vets got distracted at her follow-up visit! Sweet brown tabby with white mittens in red jammies in fall. She adjusted to it pretty quickly, and it gave her easy room for doing litter box visits. She wore it constantly for about 17 days with only two brief stretches of it off so it could be washed. I wish I had had two to swap out as I think it shrank slightly in the wash. She had lost weight over the same recovery period so that's why I think maybe the jammies should be air-dried. The fabric is pleasant to the touch, and with the velcro closure on the back, it was easy to put on. I really liked the gusseted neck; other recovery jackets we looked at did not have this feature. We did discover that if the neck gusset was loose she was able to get out. However, this only happened once, when she was being really wiggly with a visitor.I would buy this item again! I might put this on her during cold stretches as well!
