Shrimpies enjoy them! Good addition for shrimps and another place for biofilm to grow for them to eat. I used them all between two nano tanks. Super easy just soak em and then add into tank.

As a new shrimp parent, I was all excited to get something for my tanks that would be good for my shrimp. However, the shrimp don't seem to care for them.They do not spend more time on or near them than they do any other surface in the tank.Am I not understanding what these rocks are supposed to do?They did not fizz as described in the directions, but they are also are not dissolving.They have been in my tanks (2-6 gallons) for almost a year now, and I have seen no change in either the rocks or my shrimp.I still feel like I need to add more calcium to my water, as my snails are definitely still not getting enough. Their shells keep becoming almost translucent over time :(

Think of these as a saltlick block for horses. You throw it out into the field and when the horse wants some salt, we'll guess what, he's got some salt. It's not there to make the field look better, or help the trees or grass. It's for the horse and whatever other animals want some salt.Like every other aquarium add in product, it's dusty, so they need to be rinsed in aquarium water that's been pulled out (think, during a water change).This is for lazy aquarist, if your on top of your minerals you shouldn't need these. I add them just as I'd add a salt block, I already take take of my animals, but what harms adding alittle supplement they can readily access if they feel they need it.My shrimp generally ignore, my mystery snails love em.

I’m so particular about what I add to my shrimp tank. Like many experienced tank owners you learn this the hard way.I ordered these purely off of the amazing reviews. Thinking that these would not cause any issues and would ultimately benefit my Caridinia shrimp.Sadly, that was not the case.I followed the directions on the package of soaking prior to adding. Yet with THREE deaths in the last week after the stones addition….I have deemed these the culprit.I tested my water levels with the API test. Everything is exactly as it should. Nothing else has been added to my tank and shrimp have been residents for months. I’m petrified now as I have some pregnant females about to release babies…..I do NOT recommend these.

Received quickly and in good condition, first time using , as it is my first aquascaping set up , shrimp s and snails have been using the calcium rocks from the start , and are still using now after a couple of weeks, a good amount in the packet, and a good price.

My shrimps love it! They won't stay on it 24/7 cause it's not food but it looks nice in the tank and they will occasionally land and clean the rock up.
