It fits my 36" round fire pit perfectly, and when the drawstring is loose it drapes down the sides to provide complete coverage. My fire pit has semi-open mesh lined sides to provide air flow and it also has a guard rail around it, so when it rains I need to cinch the cover tightly to prevent the wind from blowing it of.Cinching it tightly causes the fabric to gather up higher on the sides which exposes the center of the bowl to the elements, but I solved it by removing the fire screen and then covering it back up again to protect the bowl. That allowed for enough fabric to cinch it tightly and still get full coverage. We'll see how long the material holds up in the hot Texas sun, but it does feel sturdy and it keeps the inside of my fire pit dry, so I'm happy with it so far.

Update to my original review below:I have been getting about 2 years of service before rips, holes, and cracks appear. I'm in Minnesota so the winters are tough. I just ordered a new one and the material seems much better than the previous ones. We'll see...========================This cover was heavy duty enough to do the job, and a much better value than some of covers the fire pit retail sites sell. My fire pit is 54" OD, and I have the logs which stick up @12-14" above the pit. The cover gave ample room to go over the logs and still cover the whole pit. The vinyl was heavy enough that it looks like it will hold up to Minnesota snow, and last a bunch of years. There is a draw string at the bottom with a slider that will hold it in place in the wind. I could tell that if I just put the cover over the bare logs, then the high point of the logs would wear a hole in the cover over time. So... I got a cheap, big, plastic landscaping barrel that fits over the logs. I then put the cover over the barrel and down over the pit. Fits great, and works perfect.Bottom line... great value, and good enough quality.

Really happy with this fire pit so far. It’s bigger than I imagined and that makes it easy to build a nice fire. It comes with a mess cover to stop embers from coming out. I ended up purchasing a cover to help protect it from the elements when not in use. It was easy to put together and seemed to be high quality.

I have had my last cover from the same company for at least 10 years. My fire pit stays dry instead all year long.

I ordered this for our new custom made gas fire pit. They told us it can not get wet, so I purchased this cover after reading reviews. I was a little concerned because the outer measurement of our pit is 37" and I purchased the 36" cover. Others had said it worked with a dome screen, so I figured there was a little give. It was a little bit tight getting it on, but once I got the bottom fabric past the rim, it was fine, as you can see in the picture.The fabric itself seems sturdy and it looks very nice on the pit. The drawstring and toggle work well and help to keep it secure on the pit.I am curious to see how it will uphold in the southern California sun, as fabrics tend to fade and weaken in the strong sun. Also hopes that it holds up to El Nino rains. Will update review later when I have more information.

Heavy duty canvas material, with some sort of waterproofing. Water beads up and slips off. This fits my the copper fire pit purchased from HD very well. The cover that came with it was plastic and didn't last a 3 months in the Florida sun and rain. I've had this cover for four months and so far so good, the sun has really faded it, but the water still beads up and slips right off and I don't know that you can find a fabric that wouldn't fade when in direct sunlight all day, everyday. I am happy with the cover and as long as I get a year out of it, will buy another when the time comes.Update: Well it's time to order a new one. I've had it for fifteen months and although it faded in the FL sun, it has held up fine. Just started getting small tears in it recently and I noticed when it rained yesterday the water no longer beads up. Happy with any cover that lasts a year in direct sun light in FL.
