I have dense grade (1†rocks down to dust) filling the holes and have maybe 1/2†or so covering. I just used my tractor to flatten the area “good enough†(didn’t check for level or anything) and put it straight over the clay. The stakes were easy to use since my clay was wet, but spots that had gravel previously took a lot of work to put in. If you have hard ground, definitely upgrade yourself to better quality stakes.I’ll be honest, I didn’t watch a video or anything. Just kind of went for it. I have two horses that stand on it and walk over it constantly, drive my tractor over it, and we have also had lots of rain and snow that has made me absolutely delighted that I installed this. I believe I have had it installed for a month or so, I will update another time further in the future to speak on the durability. You can definitely tell where the grid isn’t - the dense grade likes to move around. I packed it in real good, and it’s amazing. For the price especially, I am a fan and will be ordering again once the weather is good. I ordered three boxes and went three wide in front of my gate, and one wide in front of my barn. One wide is plenty enough for a tractor (assuming you feather out on the sides if your path is raised) and three wide is perfect for a spacious vehicle path.

Used this in a mucky horse paddock that gets very wet when it rains. Dug a section out, put the grid down, filled with crushed rock, then topped it with sand. It works really well! My only complaint is that a few of the sections weren't stuck together like they're supposed to be - It did still work out okay, but we'll see if it affects it in the long run

I have a small but steep 45° slope that has been a problem for years. Water runs off before it can soak in and I have attempted to solve it in the past with ugly useless board terracing. This geo grid is just perfect. I smoothed out the slope and set aside the extra soil. Then I laid down a section of geo grid and locked it down with long landscape staples. The package includes staples but not as many or as thick as I wanted.I then got 4 bags of garden soil at home depot and mixed it about 50/50 with native soil, then used that to fill in the geo grid. I could hardly believe how easy this was and how well this soil mix stayed in place when I carefully watered it in. The next day I planted the rosemary from a flat. The sections are only 10" so you can't put a large plant in, although I opened one section up to give me space for a one gallon tree. It's been a few days now and the soil is staying in place incredibly well. The water is penetrating the underlying native soil with no run off. I am overjoyed with this product. It's a terrific value.BTW, I did this by myself in one day and I'm 79 years old. It will be a snap for you! Buy it!

They will definitely help keep the gravel where it belongs once you get them installed properly. When the grid is expanded, there will be half diamonds that are open on the sides that you will need to provide an edging for if you want to have straight sides on your path. The HDPE is an extremely tough plastic (same thing milk bottles are made of) and thought you can stretch and bend them, they can be tough to deal with when the weather is cold. They are way more flexible on a hot summer day.You can also use these to keep rip-rap in place on the banks of a drainage ditch. All in all, these are a great way to keep gravel in it's place - I am very happy with the product.

This ground grid is exactly what I was looking for! I bought some rebar stakes to hold it in place and then poured dry concrete into the spaces and then placed crushed granite on top of the dry concrete and wetted it all down. It doesn't move at all when when I walk on it and seem very rigid. It doesn't bend either. I have the spaces filled to the top and that is probably how it's supposed to be. It looks really great. I'm going to put some type of edging around it for a more finished look, but right now it looks pretty cool!

This is pretty neat stuff as it is easy to use and helps to prevent erosion. This is very durable and strong; you simply pull it apart by stretching it out to the area that you need. I dug a little of the sand out where this is going down. After laying this grid down on the sand I backfilled the pockets with sand and leveled it all off. Since installing we have had two rainstorms now and the erosion wasn't like it was prior to using this grid. Not only does it help prevent erosion, but it keeps the pathway smoother and leveled off.
