Our sunroof broke in our F-150, and to get it fixed professionally was going to be a lot of money. As you can see these parts are plastic, so it doesn't take much for them to break. If you have the skill to take out seats and bolts, this kit is great. We replaced the parts and put everything back together after watching a very thorough YouTube video. So far the parts have held up.

These don’t have left and right side marks on them so when uninstalling make sure to compare with the old ones.

Product works but with a lot of modification. Used this for my 2010 for f150 fx4 and the process to get it working was rough. First i had to sand down the slides of 4 of the 6 pieces just so it would move. They come just a bit too thick. So don't waste your grease until you get them sliding back and forth with ease.Next the wire arm doesnt stay in the slot so using a black zip tie keeps it from falling out.Even though these parts go in and work one way they don't have any identification marks telling you which is left or right so before removing the old parts, March up the new ones. Oversight on my part cause it took forever to get it right.I did need to buy a rivet gun ($20 bucks at the auto store) and a t50 bit which wasn't expensive either (auto store)Overall the lot world, just the added time of modification and noting the side for each.Happy replacing!

I have a 2013 F140 and of course just like everyone else, the sunroof broke. There is a video on YouTube that literally walks you through every single step (80 minute video). Pair that video with these parts and you just saved yourself 2grand.I was a little nervous getting these specific parts bc they were so cheap but everything fit just perfectly no need to buy the more expensive ones!Incase you need to add tools to your order, you’ll need the following tools to do the job: a socket set with an extension: 7mm, 8mm, and 13mm are used. Also used a T20 and T50 torx head. You’ll also need a rivet gun that will do 4mm rivets. You need a flathead and Phillips screwdriver as well but I’m guessing you have those already. Plan 8 hours or so to do the job!

These did not fit smoothly in the track. As others have suggested, I sanded down some of the parts that were clearly too large. One was a bit of extra plastic left over from the mold. I did get the track to slide manually, even if stiff. Here is my error - It took force to slide the assembly in the track. I now know that these have to slide smoothly and without force, prior to adding grease. Of course there are no instructions to tell you this. When I installed the sunroof in the truck and replaced the glass, the slide seized on first test. I could not get it to move and had to remove the entire assembly again. What a huge amount of work.I have since tried two other brands to find one that mostly worked. I can not stress this enough - Make sure that the slides move freely before adding grease or reassembly. The 3 part slide should move with 2 fingers of force. Then remove the pieces, grease everything and test again, before assembly. It is also very important that both sides are in the same position when mounting the motor. I did check this carefully and I know that this was not the problem I had with this part.

If the truck were newer, I might go buy the replacement moonroof parts from the dealer, but the truck is far from new and I don't open and close the moonroof much at all. These replacement parts fit fine and so far, the moonroof works without a problem.

If you have some basic knowledge on vehicle repair and a desire to save a lot of money, you'll be able to fix your own sunroof with this kit. This was my first time doing this exact project and it worked great. I admit that there were a few challenges but nothing stopped me. There is a youtube video that will walk you through this entire process step-by-step very clearly and in detail. Follow along and you'll be fine. Make sure you have all the correct tools before starting - i was missing one tool (one of my challenges LOL). In the end, my sunroof works like new again and it only cost me $90 plus time.

There was one piece of the track assembly that didn’t align perfectly, thankfully I was able to reuse the original piece for what I needed to do. 4 hours later and $2000 saved (this is how much a dealership would charge - might be more), my sunroof is working again. There are no instructions but there is a great video on YouTube that will help.

Everything you need for an easy repair!... 4 hours to repair the sunroof in a 2006 F150 Lariat, compared to the $1800.00 - $2000.00 dealer quote.
