Don't worry about mounting it - 2" ABS pipe will let it slide in and the lip stops it at the top. You could do some fancy cutting to be able to read it in the pipe, but I just lift it out.

I bought this to replace a glass rain gauge that broke over winter. (It froze and the bottom broke out. I meant to bring it in during the cold weather.). It fits my stand perfectly and is the same quality of my old one. The description was accurate and I’m pleased with the purchase.

This is just what I needed to replace the one that got broken in the ice storm. There were two in the package, unfortunately one was broken. The packaging was not enough to protect the glass and they were in a pretty big box with not enough padding to keep them from moving around. Since one was usable, I’m not sending it back. I would love a good plastic option.
