This product got hot after I installed it. I had to buy a better product that would take more current. It's an old refrigerator. The better product is called a high current capacitor or a hot start capacitor. Some older refrigerators need it. I might not be an expert, but my fridge works.

The trick with this is to look at the old relay for the "R" for 'run' and "S" for 'start' - and hook up the compressor to the RO81 relay accordingly - given the crappy, nonexistent parts and after-sale customer service Haier/GE/Hotpoint now engages in, these parts take a bit more than 'plug and play' knowledge. Our fridge died the other day, and after researching the issue, I order the relay switch. It took me about 2 minutes to install and worked like a charm. The fridge is back to blowing cool air, and the freezer is colder than the arctic.

DON'T BY IT IF YOU IN THE UK. doesn't work in uk they know it they charge then you have to explain yourself and post it back (cost me £15) waist of time and money, mega RIP OFF.
