I bought these grass pads after I saw one of my girls using one at a friend’s. I thought at the time they were just “marking†No, my girls use them. They run to the box every morning. The pad underneath the grass absorbs so well unlike the others that drip everywhere! These work well and easy to travel with too. I’m going to order a couple more to keep in the cars, I’d rather they use these then catch something from who knows where or what!

Awesome product! I got this not only for potty training our new puppy when she is unable to make it outside like when we aren't home, but also for those stormy days. Anyone that lives in Florida, know we have tropical storms, hurricanes, etc. (I got this right before Hurricane Ian) Well, when the dog needs to go, they have to go! With this artificial grass pee pad, they understand that this is a better option than going outside in the pouring down rain, and they won't track in water or mud. We had two small dogs that recently passed away, but they didn't like going potty in wet grass or when it was raining, and I would often find messes in the house on those days. Not anymore! This is perfect for inside, garage, or covered porch. During the hurricane it made it sooo easy to take the pup potty. Right away she peed on it and then pooped! I got tissue to pick up the poop and flushed it so she could reuse it several times. After the storm had passed, it was so easy to clean. I actually put the throw away pad over the cloth pad so when I went to clean it, all I had to do was thrown away to disposable pad and spray down the grass. Cloth pad and tray were clean as could be. What I loved about this setup was I didn't have to worry about pee going through to my tile floor, and it had clips on it to hold the pads in place, and it comes with a whole other set! We had a party shortly after, and several ppl that had dogs, loved the idea of using this for times such as hurricanes and said they wanted to get one too. The only CON to this was our puppy likes to chew, so she kept trying to pull up the grass pad to get to the disposable pad underneath and tear it up. I think two more clips to hold it down would make it flawless. Large metal paper clips solved that problem though! Would definitely recommend!

In June we adopted a 6 yr old shih tzu who had been rescued from a puppy mill. We were told she was house broken. What we didn’t know is that she has learned to hold her urine for up to 24 hours. She hadn’t had many accidents in the house but it is very frustrating to us, it’s so random. Some times she’ll go on the pee pads, sometimes outside in the grass, several times on rugs inside.I ordered this to try to find something she will go on routinely, esp since she definitely doesn’t like going outside when it’s raining or grass when it’s wet. How to teach her this, I don’t know. However, I am returning this small one in exchange for the medium size. Also, there were no instructions in the box with it, so I’m not sure how to use it. Looks like under the grass pad are 2 washable pads. You DO get an extra of each. I did see in reviews that someone replaced the ones under the grass pad with disposable pee pads which sounds like a great idea rather than washing the other ones. If anyone has any suggestions, I’d appreciate hearing.

I wanted to like this grass mat. It seems really good in theory but the reality is, the plastic "turf" is near impossible to clean when you have a pup that seems doomed to smash his poop into it on the regular. The components seem to be made well, it will probably withstand the abuse of vigorous cleaning, which it will require. The bottom plastic mat that holds everything is great, we are still using that with disposable pads for now. The washable mats that come with it are really nice. They have rubber grips on the underside. It might be good for you if your pup doesn't smash his poop into every single thing you put in the crate, but it was not a good fit for us. I don't know how well odors are removed from a simple hosing off. I stopped using it after changing the second grass mat and it jas been sitting outside ever since, hoping the rain would wash some of the hardened poop off, that dried through the night before I could change it. If you have a small confined space outside for your dog to use this, or just need a small spot to have close to the door during bad weather, this would probably fit the bill. My Rufus is confined to indoors due to predators near our home, so it doesn't work for us.

Within a day of utilizing the grass pads as a bathroom, my dog caused substantial damage to them. The odor emitted was so potent that I was compelled to relocate them outdoors. Washing them has proven ineffective in eliminating the odor, rendering them unsuitable for purchase.
