RetroFit Roof Anchor with Stainless Steel Construction, Butyl Flashing Strip and Stainless Steel Fasteners for a Low-Profile, Permanent Roof Anchor
The RetroFit Installed on a Steep Slope Asphalt Shingle Roof that will be used for Fall Protection Safety
Use over asphalt shingle, wood shake or metal roofing, the butyl flashing strip attached to the underside of the anchor will provide a water-resistant installation. Compatible with all standard and vented ridge-cap systems. Can be painted to match the roof color, too.
Installing the RetroFit anchor requires the removal and reinstallation of your ridge cap. This is not a difficult job but should be performed by someone who is capable.

These get the job done. Make sure to install properly (avoid blowouts). Once installed, they provide a strong means of anchoring. It is suggested to anchor a few of these strategically within the space to be worked on. You may also consider looping your fall arrest back up line through multiple anchors as a back up and for distributing the load among a multiple points. The ABCs of roofing ... Easy to install, affordable and high quality. As a contractor i buy these in bulk and keep on hand for when doing elevated work on homes without anchors. Safety is a primary focus on exterior work and these are a great solution wether new construction or having to retrofit if roofers did not install any,
