I bought these for fun to use on both paper and rocks. I love them! They release ink smoothly on either smooth or rough surfaces and the metallics are truly shiny without being garish or cheap looking. The colors are vibrant and saturated, but still pair well with the matte colors from other pen sets—it gives a sheen to the same colors instead of popping/taking all of the attention, which I really like! For anyone just getting started with rock painting and not sure what size to get: I bought the 2-3mm size and it’s great for filling in larger sections while still allowing me to attempt some details, like highlights. It’s not overly wide or particularly fine; it’s a good “medium†size. Since it’s harder to control for fine details though, I would recommend also getting some fine pens (like 0.7mm) for detailed drawings, in addition to this 2-3mm size for filling in sections or backgrounds. You’d likely only need a pen wider than this 2-3mm for larger scale artwork, as this is plenty big enough for rock painting. My only complaint about this particular set of pens is that I wish it came with a white pen too (maybe pearl or iridescent for the shine). Otherwise I’m very happy with it! Been using it for a couple of months and no clogging or drying out so far. If you’re debating between the smaller or larger set of the 2-3mm pens, get the one with more pens. It’ll be worth it to have more color options!I recommend this set for quality but inexpensive paint pens, and plan to buy them again when my current set gets used up. They’d make a good gift, too!

I really like these pens. I used them on top of an acrylic panting to highlight details and write verses on it. I used the 1.0mm version. It had a nice flow and worked well on top of the paint. They don't seem to be as waterproof as real paint, probably because there is not much binder in the liquid. (The ad says they are semi-waterproof and to coat them.) If you scrub with a wet brush or cloth you can smear and possibly remove them. I did coat with clear acrylic to seal the whole painting and they did not run. I was careful to just put down a layer of clear acrylic without much brushwork. My only hope is that they are light-fast and permanent, which only time will tell. They unscrew to clean the nib. I can see the screw threads but can't seem to unscrew. I'll try a pliers. I'm pretty sure if you don't clean them, they will harden and not flow ink. Even if they are one-use I got my money's worth on this painting. Added later: Yes you want to clean the nibs. I had to use a pliers to unscrew them. I then used a toothpick to push the nib backwards from its holder to remove it. Do this over a newspaper away from the sink. If you drop the nib down the sink say goodbye. Stand up the open pen in a cup! I held the nib under slow water, then touched it to a paper towel, which sucks the ink from it. Repeat many times until paper towel shows no ink. Reassemble.

I absolutely love these metallic markers! Great quality and colors. My daughter is an artist and I bought these for her. She loves them and the rich color palette as well. The markers are nice and thick. Once you color in the area they don’t bleed either. Would definitely order again. Nice value for the money and quality.

Most colors are nice on white background. Most effective on black background.

It's so good to find out excellent products like these metallic markers paint. I draw a gold fine line on a miniature flower base and gave a lifted value. I planning to use on borders of items and paper to wrap up gifts. Thanks for providing an excellent product

I’m not usually one to gush over art supplies, but the SAKEYR Super Golden Metallic Paint Markers have completely won me over. As someone who loves dabbling in crafts—whether it’s jazzing up a sketchbook, decorating a gift box, or even sprucing up some old furniture—these markers have become my new go-to. They’re vibrant, reliable, and honestly a joy to work with, and I can’t recommend them enough. The first thing that struck me was the color—oh, the color! These markers deliver a rich, golden hue that’s so eye-catching it practically leaps off the surface. I’ve used them on everything from dark cardstock to smooth wood, and that metallic sheen just pops every time. It’s not some muted, half-hearted shimmer either; it’s bold, vibrant, and catches the light in a way that makes my projects look polished and professional. Whether I’m doodling for fun or working on something to gift a friend, that golden glow adds a touch of magic. What I love just as much is how long they last. I’ve been using the same set for weeks now—pretty heavily, I might add—and they’re still going strong. No drying out, no streaky lines, just consistent, smooth coverage. I was worried the tips might wear down or clog, but they’ve held up beautifully, even after hours of use. It’s such a relief to not have to constantly replace them like I’ve had to with cheaper markers in the past. Getting them started was a breeze, too. I’m not the most patient person, so I was thrilled when I shook them up, pressed the tip a few times, and they were ready to roll—no mess, no fuss. They flow so easily that even my shaky-handed attempts at lettering look decent! The paint glides on without skipping, and I’ve found them versatile enough for detailed work or broader strokes. Honestly, these SAKEYR markers have sparked so much creativity in me. They’re a small investment for a huge payoff—durability, stunning color, and that gorgeous metallic finish. I’d recommend them to anyone, whether you’re an artist, a DIY enthusiast, or just someone who likes to add a little flair to everyday stuff. They’ve made my crafting sessions more fun and my results more impressive, and I’m already planning to grab more colors!

I like these. I make greeting cards and I use high end metalic markers for the fine detail. I wish these were more of a fine tip rather than the big round tip... or at least offer a choice. Overall however, the color is great.
