Excellent warmth and fit perfectly. Great value for the price. Other reviewers said the fabric had an offensive odor, but I washed and dried mine before I wore it, and noticed nothing. It washed and dried beautifully.

I've used this style of hood many times, and this version holds up well. On 2 different ski trips, and a few snow days at home, I've used this hood. It's great for locking warmth in where a winter coat doesn't fully seal in the neck area. While skiing and sledding, the face mask part does a great job and doesn't become soggy. I was also able to wear ski goggles comfortably even while using tue face mask, without any issues.

Since I work in a freezer, i wear these types of headgear to provide warmth. This product here was rather warm around the ears and top of head, but not so much around the front of the head and hairline since it was not allowed to be tightened without applying a lot of pressure to my nose with the draw string. This product has a drawstring that cinches down the area around the eyes and forehead, also to tighten the area that is across the nose, but when tightened to keep cold frigid air from getting to the top of the head it applies a lot of pressure to your nose and is very uncomfortable. The product rises and gets into the eyes when you move your head and if you wear a gaiter the extra cloth causes a tightness around the neck with the sliding of this product they make you feel as if you can't quite breathe.

I've never worn one of these before but I am ecstatic that I no longer have to bundle up with a scarf around my neck and face when I go out. By tightening the elastic across the face, it creates a nice pocket inside so there isn't fabric right ON your face but rather my face is inSIDE the hat, free to move. Just delightful!

I bought this hoping to use it under my helmet snowboarding, but it does not work with a helmet unless your helmet is way too big for you. This would be great for cold weather if you don't intend to wear a helmet. But for me riding without a helmet is risky, and thus I don't consider this a real "ski" or "snowboarding" face mask. It does seem relatively warm and wind resistant (I wouldn't say "windproof"), and the quality is good. So if you don't plan on using this with a helmet this might be for you. If you need something to work with a helmet look elsewhere.

I've bought several of these masks over the last couple of years. For myself and others. I wear it when I'm snowblowing. It cinches around the top.
