These scones exceeded my expectations. I thought they were black metal and hesitated to order them because I wanted something more bronze like. To my surprise, they are black with a bronze hue that perfectly complements the wall clock where they were to be placed. I wasn't sure whether to use nails or a screw to hang them but the Amazon friends responded to my question right away. I decided to go with nails and that was sufficient. The tray where the candle fits was slightly tilted upward but I was able to balance them with a little pressure. I think because there is a hinge here made it easier. I used the LED Wax Pillar Candles (ivory) with a remote control. I only needed 2 candles but the set of 3 with remote was offered at a great price.Here's a photo take with my phone camera. I am very pleased with how these complement my dining room.

Really like these and they’ll be a perfect accent. They arrived packaged very poorly, as if they’d been returned by someone who’d opened the box and they I got the torn cardboard sent to me as is. The platform for candle was bent so there was no way for a candle to sit properly so my husband put some muscle into it and straightened them both out - perfect - now I have to buy candles which are not included.

I used these wall sconces to replace a similar product in my outside lanai. They are much sturdier than the ones I’m replacing. They are attractive and look much more expensive than they were.
