I now see from perusal of reviews that tagines from Sur La Table often have problems,Unfortunately I didn’t read these reviews prior to ordering a tahini (via Amazon) as I trusted the Sur la Table brand. Now I have a chipped lid which exposes the terracotta clay beneath the glaze. How do I return this???

I originally wanted a medium or large tajine to be able to cook a family meal. But technically I am living on my own right now and because of one of the other reviews of a single Moroccan I decided to keep it amd have already made my first meal with it. Made a chicken simple recipe with onion spices olives etc ... came out fantastic.Also a perk of having a small tajine could put in fridge after only eating half... and then eat from tajine after adding cooked rice when having second portion next day. Served as a plate. Super versatile because of the small. If cooking for one or two highly recommend.

I recently traveled to Morocco for vacation and loved the food so much I wanted to recapture it when I got back home. So far, I have prepared 4 dishes. I love using the Tajine pot. It is different and the food taste great!

My mistake---didn't realize how small this actually is---maybe could cook a small dish for two people.

It's a GREAT size for a small household. When I got it, I noticed it does not have a steam escape hole, but no worry--like the Moroccans I had just visited, I simply propped the top up a bit with a spoon handle. I used it on the stovetop on the lowest setting, never higher. However, when I went to clean it, there was a hairline crack from the edge to the center. It is all the way through so not just in the glaze. I am going to give it another try soon because I love tagines, but watch it for leaking onto my burner. We'll see. So great price, especially for someone who is just getting her "training" wheels in tagines, but looks like it will cost me another at some point in the near future.
