Works great, but be advised the wire connectors are backwards. I swapped out the original GFCI outlet (non-USB) for this one, exactly as it should have been, but it didn't work. After swapping the wires top with bottom on both sides, it worked. I thought something was wrong but glad it was simple. Recommended.

It is deeper than a regular GFI due to the USB interface. So if your replacing a regular keep in mind how much room you will need, some applications will require modifications to the enclosure to make it work, I replaced the regular GFI in my outdoor flood lite kit that had receptacles in it and found that the center post of the fixture was too close to where the GHFI ended and had to modify the post to make it fit, (had to loose 3/16 off the post to get a fit) once done it worked fine. Other than that issue that wasn’t the GFI’s fault it was a good fit.

My home was built in 1969 and the kitchen outlets are probably original. I would have liked this item to work for me but after 2 hours of fighting to get it to fit into my electrical box I had to give up and put my old outlet back in. The SURAIELEC 15 Amp GFCI Outlet is deeper than standard outlets. It may work for newer homes but it did not work for me.

Replaced older GFI with the USB connections. Works great and to have the connections for the new tooth brushes these days.
