This is a well-made timer works perfectly easy to install well worth the price. I replaced my mechanical timers with this digital best move. You can make mechanical timers suck. They don’t always turn off when they’re supposed to when pumps run with no water in them. It will cost you quite a bit to either replace the pump or pay someone to replace the pump get this digital timer and you will not regret it.

Replaced the old style timer with this unit. Overall glad I did. The biggest plus is you can have several programs for all kinds of instances. For example, I run the pump minimally during the week and longer on the weekend which is when we use it. My pool's heater senses the water coming on so I save money by only running the heater when we really use the pool. The downside is the connection. Really not straightforward but as usual, Youtube is to the rescue as there are a few videos from the manufacturer on how to do this. Also, programming is ok but not totally intuitive and you have to read the directions to get a holistic understanding for what is happening. No way I can just say to my wife, go flip the switch like to old style. - she will not touch the breakers which I find is the easiest way to just turn on or off without touching the timer). Wish the display was backlit but doable. There is a wi-fi version of this timer with an app available that had I seen it, probably would have gotten instead but at the end of the day, now that it is set, I don't really have to mess with it anymore. Good value for the money.

Firstly, I'm not an electrician but I have a homeowner's understanding of it. It took me longer to do this, maybe two hours, because I didn't want to electrocute myself. I replaced a failing GE mechanical timer of ten years and knew that I didn't want another one to run our pool pump. I took photos of the then current layout, hit all the contacts with a multi-meter to verify what was hot and when and then drew a diagram as it related to the new unit. From there it was a fairly straightforward job of remove & replace. Adding the jumpers so the timer would be powered was new and it was nice that they supplied the jumper wiring. The timer programming was fairly straightforward and one mistake I made was easily corrected. Twenty four hours have elapsed and the timer has been accurate and continues to work correctly. There is a company provided video on YouTube that was helpful. I found it best viewed at a lower speed to catch everything. Only complaint is the difficulty in reading the writing on the panel where the wires are actually attached. The positives include the timer's battery backup and the power & load indicator lights. For the price this seems like a bargain and we'll see how well it holds up.

Great device for monitoring in my case controlling my utility bill to some degree by controlling the cycling of the water heater during peak hours

I replaced an old magnetic timer on a 220v pool pump. This one is no hassle and it works great. If you are a little confused by the wiring you can tell chatgpt 4 exactly what you are looking at and it will quickly guide you through the process for your setup.

Seemed to work fine for about a year, then I noticed a strong burnt plastic smell coming from the basement, traced it to this timer, inside is melted. All the terminals were still tight so nothing came loose over time or anything like that. Luckily I noticed it before it burnt my house down. Would not recommend.

I love product. I had it installed with other electrical work outside around pool. Electrician said was easy to install as replacement for old timer and easy to program. Would buy again if needed

I had an old GE timer on my hot water heater and it stopped working after 7-8 years. It was expensive and an absolute beast to program. So I saw this unit and decided to give it a try. It wires up the same as my old GE timer. The programming was easy and I said to my wife ‘this just seems too easy’. The final stage when activating the program to take over was easy. I just had a problem reading the small print in the diagram which shows as ‘on’ in one diagram and ‘off’ in the second diagram which are side by side in the instructions. At first I couldn’t see the difference between the two images. But overall I would buy again with no reservations. If you are in a poorly lit area (like my furnace/heater room) you will need a light shinning on the led screen to help make the programming easier. (GE had the same problem).

Very easy to program but the wiring diagram was hard to follow. Utube has an excellent tutorial once watched it was easy to do the electrical hook up. Have installed and test. Works fine but the true test will be the next pool season. The only reason I didn't give five stars was because of the wiring diagram in the manual. The program instructions were very easy to follow.
