I purchased this ladder and with some small modifications am very happy. In total, it cost me about $30 extra but well worth the cost savings. The ladder is for a low roof sprinter van and I have to pull myself up to meet the bottom rung.In terms of modifications - as purchased, the ladder has to sit all the way to the end of the door (towards the middle). This blocked my back-up camera so I cut off about 2 inches from both ends. This didnt shorten the ladder, just made the curved-angle-outward less. This allowed me to move the ladder away from the middle and not to block my back-up camera. I then sprayed truck bed liner on it to make it black and it worked fine. I did have to find replacement "Metal Threaded Star Type Inserts" to get the top hooks back onto the ladder. Very happy with it, looks great, sturdy, and very affordable.

After a problem in shipping was resolved I got the replacement ladder quickly. It came with no instructions but was easy to install anyway. It fit perfectly on my 1996 Ford Conversion-van. It's very sturdy and does what it is suppose to do. I highly recommend this product. All you need is an electric drill (with a metal drill bit) and a Phillips screwdriver to mount it.

Ok, all I am going to say is anyone who has a hard time installing this on a Chevy 3500 express cargo van (mine 2009) should not be doing any skilled labor job. I installed this in 10 minutes by myself.1st hang it on the door you desire.2nd attach the top screw on the side of the ladder on the highest point of the door.3rd Line it up by site directly below the top you just installed (double check it is parallel to the door).4th put in 2 top screws of the 4 required for now.5th Again eye level it to the bottom across from the one just secured (double check for level to the door not with a level) and once satisfied put all 4 screws.6th add the other 2 screws to the other side.7th stand on the ladder and add the last screw to the top hole on the last side, it will line up just fine and no tubing bender or other tools are required.You now have a great new ladder for reaching the ladder rack above or what ever it is you needed it for.Seriously it is that easy and mine is solid as can be!!!

Mounted on a 2008 Chevy Express 3500 Class B motorhome. As a few others have stated, it's not designed to fit the Express vans because the upper part of the rear doors slope down. I knew this prior to ordering but because I have a tube bender I suspected that I would not have a problem in making it fit. All I had to do is to slightly bend the upper right side and now it fits perfectly and sits perfectly level on the van.The only reason for giving it less than 5 stars is because Surco should make an over the door version that is designed to fit the Chevrolet Express vans.

It drilled into the back door with relative ease - and I had a gimp leg doing it. The ladder is appealing, I spray painted mine black - I just like the look better. Put some grip tape on the steps, really makes it feel safe.

The first one was damaged and was not being delivered on Thursday when I expected it, so I called in and they replaced it from another warehouse and I was told it would be 7 days later at the earliest, well I already had waited for a period of time. I got this on Tuesday, not the following Friday.Awesome. And the ladder works well. I however probablly should have used a level on level ground, its off by 2 degrees.

Ladder fairly easy to install, needed someone to stand on it to secure it into place correctly (otherwise, the top hook brackets wouldn't firmly hook onto the door). After reading other's comments, I went to Lowe's and picked up Self-tapping screws, which made it so much easier & fast to install. I'm under 130 lbs, so I asked my neighbor (approximately 280 lbs) to stand and jump on the ladder - the ladder is very secure!

This was supposed to be a guaranteed fit for a 96 Dodge B 3500 full-size van however it is too long. I only kept it because of the hassle of returning it. I am going to have to do some major modifications to make it work. Extremely disappointed in this item. I am going to have to cut the tubes down to length and then modify to fit my van. My van is nothing special and this should have fit as described. This issue was 100% not the manufacturer issue. They explained that they had never told Amazon that it would fit. If you’re looking to buy one, go to the manufacturer’s website and double check that it is the correct product number for your vehicle.

I am about 220 pounds or 100+ kg and secure with 10 screws it is very sturdy doesnt move at all overall i am pleased with the product.. Very good quality for the price.

seems flimsy at first but its surprisingly pretty solid! mounted to the back of my van. im 170lbs and it holds my weight just fine

Bought for a Promaster 2500 and it is a little short but still works. It's nice and light weight and the price is good!

Fits well on 2007 Chevrolet Express 1500. Ladder mounts are slanted to fit the slanted top angle of the door. Screws don’t self tap that well so better to go with a set of stainless self-taps. I spray painted with $10 of bed liner to make this look more stealthy and match the cargo rack. Can’t get a black ladder like this for under $500.
