My partner and I originally got these bamboo mats that are super hard to clean, don't roll too well, and overall just aren't very good. This has none of those issues. It's food grade silicon and is made to be easy to use, clean and store.

Well, this was not used for its intended purpose as I do not eat sushi. But, I purchased a new set of silverware, and I really like the style, but the handles are very thin, so much so that they kept falling through the holes in the dishwasher's silverware tray. So, I started looking around for something that could be used to stop this from happening, and more importantly would be dishwasher safe. And, I found this sushi mat that is dishwasher safe. I cut up the larger piece in to smaller pieces to fit in the bottom of the silverware tray. I've been using it now for a couple of months and it works great, plus because the sushi mat has ridges the food particles do not say on the mat but just float off during the wash/rinse cycles.

Although easier to use than a wooden roll it is a bit laborious to clean the grooves.

Although I wouldn't say this does a better job than the bamboo version wrapping in plastic wrap, it is really nice to be able to throw it in the dishwasher. That alone is worth the investment.

We make sushi every few weeks, and the mat I had before what hard plastic with hinges. It sucked. This one is way better - to roll and to clean. 5 stars.

Don't buy it, it's useless! Waste of money! Couldn't wrap any roll easily.

I made sushi rolls for the first time and this mat was super helpful. It's easy to use- just roll tightly and you get a perfect sushi roll. It's durable and easy to clean with soapy water. I like that it's silicone and will not absorb bacteria of some of your roll leaks out onto it.

I liked it a lot, it was very flexible and easy to roll the sushi, as someone who has never done it before. I liked the material that it was made from as it’s easy to clean and store. Overall very satisfied!

Nice rolling mat. The Silicone helps to make it easier than I thought. Love it right away, now can make more sushi. Highly recommended.
