For years, ... yes , even decades, I have been so frustrated over a suspender strap coming loose on my pants. It usually happens when I get into or out of my car seat when the pressure between my moving body and the seat causes the clip to flip open ... and now I'm stuck with a choice between either leaving that strap undone (and looking like a fool walking around with a loose suspender strap flopping around ... or risking my pants falling down) ... or trying to be a yoga impersonator trying to reattach the strap behind my back, often unsuccessfully ... or swallowing my pride and ask a passerby to reattach then strap for me ... or head to a restroom or private area where I can lower my pants and reattach the clip. Then I discovered that they're making suspenders with HOOKS that attach to a belt loop! Hooray! Problem solved! I will never buy suspenders with the conventional pressure clip again (except if I'm required to wear a pant without belt loops!).The only issue with this hook design is that the suspender location is restricted to where the manufacturer chose to locate the belt loops. The big advantage (perhaps the only advantage?) of a conventional suspender is that the presence or absence and location of belt loops is irrelevant. A suspender with only one rear hook can ONLY be used on a pant with a centered rear belt loop. Many pants have no center loop but only two loops offset a few inches on each side of center. Similarly, a suspender with 2 rear hooks won't look good if those two offset loops are too far from center.I've tried plastic hooks, but do not like them ... big time. I only buy suspenders with metal hooks now.These work great, look good, etc. I have purchased many, with both single and double rear hooks.

Easy to attach and release.Works with belt loops. Slight learning curve for adjusting clamps.Nice choice of colors and sizes.Good price. Well constructed.Would recommend.

They are described as for big and tall men. For those of us of average height (5' 10"), they are long. You will need to set the clasps higher up toward the top of your shoulder. They are more comfortable and look better when they are across middle of the chest. When set higher, they still may not hold your pants high enough, and the clasps will dig into your shoulder and collar bone.

I have been using these Suspenders for several months now and they have been working very well. They are very well made and I would recommend. They are a Nice alternative to a belt.
